About the book
Woman Power began as a month-long teaching series on Facebook in 2013 and grew into a fuller book. It looks into the Word to ask what it means to be a woman: her first appearance in creation, her identity, her power, the three women in Moses’ life, Hadassah the intercessor, and the woman’s emotions.
The book makes its balance clear from the start. It has no agenda to put women above or against men, and it rests on the call to “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ” (Ephesians 5:21). In the author’s words on the back cover, it is “a must-read for all, especially ministers of God and women.”
Dedication
This book is dedicated to my mum, Mrs. Mary (Azah) Serwonu. She is my heroine of love.

The story of creation is one of the very clear blessings the Bible has offered the world. Through Moses, God recorded for us how it all started. It is the oldest historical fact which gives us the very beginning of time.
God created the heavens and the earth, and all the things in it day after day in a wise order. The Bible says, He founded the earth through wisdom and by understanding established the heavens. The psalmist said, “In wisdom you have made them all” (Psalm 104:24b). Of all the creatures of God though, man (mankind) was special. It was only mankind that God made in His own image and likeness. That separates man from any other beast, the sky, oceans, planets, etc. Man was fashioned to resemble God (Genesis 1:26-27). The second feature of man which puts him above every other creature is that he was given dominion over them all by God. God literally put man in command over all His creations.
Man has been privileged therefore to be unique and special among all creation. We have been loved; we carry in us a spirit which we received from God. God did not start loving humanity in John 3:16. He loved us in Genesis. He fashioned us wonderfully. He gave us His life in Genesis. He gave us His power in Genesis. He gave us His unfailing Word in Genesis. He blessed us in Genesis.
Lines from the book
“God did not start loving humanity in John 3:16. He loved us in Genesis.”
“Submissiveness in love is not a difficult yoke on the neck of womanhood or wives but a peace ring that cools away ego, pride, the feeling of superiority and habit of intolerance.”
