Christian love songs are important because Christians also “fall in love” and do want or need Christian ways to express their love in their courtships and marriages. In fact, a whole book of the Bible is a love song. So it is important that we have Holy Spirit-inspired Christian love songs. I believe it is high time believers came out bold on sacred divine gifts like sex and romance that the world has robbed and perverted. We need to show the true beauty and purpose of romance and sex, courtship and marriage; teaching our children. Otherwise, the world will train them to see wrongly. In my own view, Bebe and Cece are one of the “parents” of contemporary Christian music especially love songs. Christian love songs usually have content that can both be addressed to God and to a beloved – just like the Song of Solomon is a love song Solomon wrote for a woman but also prophesies of Christ. Because some of the songs are for married people, they may speak of romance and sex. But we know that we are to flee from youthful lust.
