CHOOSING RIGHTLY (1)

To choose means different things to different people. To some singles, it means selecting one friend to court. To others, it means making new friends. They are singles ready to mingle. Some, they choose on dating sites, checking pictures, age and interests. Some choose from a list of courtship or marriage proposals which to accept. No matter where we are, choosing means the following things.
1. THERE’S MORE THAN ONE
We choose because there are options. You can’t choose when there is no option. To choose suggests quickly that there is more than one. Indeed, there is more than one person ready and available for marriage. That’s why choosing comes in. There is more than one beautiful sister. There is more than one handsome brother. To the brothers who love singers, there’s more than one anointed singer. There is a whole mass choir of succulent voices. Sisters, there are several handsome looking prayer warriors. You can’t marry them all. So you have to choose. Several guys will express interest in you. You can’t marry everyone of them but one. So the art of choosing is inevitable. Choosing rightly!
2. THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME
If all the things before you are the same, you don’t choose one. You’d just pick at random. But it is not so with courtship and marriage because all men and all women, all ladies and all gentlemen aren’t equal. There are differences in their equals. They may both be believers, but they are different and unique. There are physical differences. Some of them are dark. Others are fair. Some have pot belly (Hope it’s not a married sugar daddy). Others have six packs. There is also attitudinal differences and differences with temperament. Some of the persons to choose from are quiet and reserved while others are outspoken and sociable. Who do you choose? There are also differences in purpose. Even though we are all part of the BIG VISION OF GOD for this end time, we are appointed to separate though related fields.
Abraham’s purpose was to discover the promised land, Jacob’s purpose was to offshoot the twelve tribes. Joseph’s purpose was to preserve them. Moses’ purpose was to lead them out of Egypt. And Joshua’s purpose was to take them into the promised land. We see a coordination in their calling. It was towards one big vision of God having a chosen nation through which He will bring a Deliverer to save the world. But different people played different parts. God’s purpose today is one. But we all have different, specific and unique sub-purposes.
So we choose because not all men and women are the same. Some are bad and others are good. But not even all the good ones are the same. Some are carnal and others are spiritual. Yet not all the spiritual ones are the same. Choose rightly!
